Pre-Departure Dinner

Yay! Only 18 more hours until we leave! Tonight, we went to my new favorite restaurant, Bonefish Grill, in Skokie to celebrate being on 'vacation.' We took Doris, Lindsay, Tommy, Cam, and Liz with us too! Now, Mike and I are feverishly packing so that we have everything ready for our big trip tomorrow. Tomorrow we have pedicure appointments at 9am and 10am, and then we fly out at about 4pm. We plan to get to the airport around about 12:30 or 1, so that we have time to have a celebratory cocktail...or two. Next time I post I will be enjoying the sun and sea air of the Mediterranean! I CAN'T wait!!

Hi! This is going to be fun. I've never done a 'blog' before, so sorry, brace yourself.
Guess what? Mike and I bought 'new' luggage for the TRIP! Yay! [simple pleasures ... :)]
Okay ... Mike and I are getting old, it's a reality ... we're owning it ... it's okay. SO, we decided (together,
even though Mike didn't want to buy luggage ... but succumbed, :) ) to buy luggage that all color-matched.
:) SO funny, but hey, it's our new 'old-person' reality. I don't want to have to remember (at the luggage carousel
what 'colors' of various luggage we brought ... cobalt blue, olive green, red, navy and/or black ... those colors don't
even 'match' ... so NOT my style! Okay ... 'Jerome' (married MANY years to the SAME woman, cute man!)
assisted us in our luggage purchase. He was trying to guide us to CHEAP (which is OKAY!) ... BUT ... none of the
colors MATCHED. (Apparently Jerome didn't 'get' me, I am 'match-matchy' ... hello? identical twin, what would
you expect?)
Okay ... so we ended up buying Samsonite ... in a color of red. I'll take a picture and post it ... :)
This is as exciting as my life is these days! :)
